Online entries will remain open throughout the competition while maps are available. This is our preferred entry method.

Entries will be taken at enquiries at the event if maps remain available.

Age Class entries will self-select their own start times (Late entries only). If you enter more than 1 day you are expected to select a time from different blocks. If you do not, then you will not be eligible for any overall prizes.

Block 1 = 10:30 – 11:05, Block 2 = 11:06 – 11:41, Block 3 = 11:42 – 12:17

Block 4 = 12:18 – 12:53, Block 5 = 12:54 – 13:30

There will be a limited number of maps available for entry at the events (card or cash payment).

In the summer of 2022, the 8th Lakes 5 event will take place in the English Lake District, home of some of the country’s most beloved scenery and finest orienteering areas. The event will incorporate five individual national events between Sunday 7th August and Friday 12th August 2022.

Sunday 7th August Day 1 Swindale South, Near Shap. (This is a changed venue due to access difficulties with High Pike)

Monday 8th August Day 2 Threlkeld Knotts, Threlkeld

Tuesday 9th August Day 3 Graythwaite, Dale Park Oak Woodlands (Changed venue following storm damage)

Wednesday 10th August - Rest day

Thursday 11th August Day 4 Grizedale, Raven Crag

Friday 12th August Day 5 Helsington Barrows, Kendal

Merchandise

We are providing event branded clothing of a technical top and a Buff.

New online orders have now closed Orders placed before 1 Jun have been submitted to the suppliers and will be available for collection on day 1. After that date, no changes or cancellations will be possible because the merchandise is being custom-made.

A small additional stock has been ordered for sale at the event. If you wish reserve any of these items you can email . You will also be able to order items at the event to be posted to you later.

All profit goes towards NWJS funds so thank you to everyone who purchases.
