Day3 is being hosted by Lakeland Orienteering Club (LOC) as a Long race.

Yewdale is a section of open fell at the bottom of the Wetherlam ridge in the Central Lakes, above Coniston.

Day3 is being hosted by Lakeland Orienteering Club (LOC).
Yewdale is an exposed area of fell between Coniston Old Man and Little Langdale in South Cumbria.
Shorter courses will use National Trust Land on the edge of Hodge Close.

Parking - Will be in fields at Tilberthwaite Farm accessed via the A593.
Assembly - Will be at Tilberthwaite Farm directly next to parking fields.
Access is via the A593, southbound from Ambleside signposted just after Yew Tree Farm, or northbound via Coniston village signposted just after Low Yewdale Farm. Access is via a narrow lane heading up-to event parking restricting large amounts of two way traffic.
ENTRANCE TO PARKING 8.30am-12.00 noon EXIT FROM PARKING 12.30pm onward
PUBLIC TRANSPORT The nearest public transport is Ambleside or Coniston Village.
CAMPERVANS/MINIBUSES/VANS Please note parking is accessed via a narrow gateway therefore we are unable to accommodate large vehicles or camper vans.
Maximum size Campervan would be a VW Transporter.
Please park in Coniston village and carshare for those who we are unable to park at assembly.
Please note cars will not be able to vacate parking till 12.30pm.
Starts
HIGH START will be 1.6k with 130m climb from the main arena & parking via public road then paths onto Yewdale Fell, steep and rocky in areas.
Take care as part of this is via the lane where event traffic is arriving. Follow signs and marshals instructions.
Allow up-to 50 minutes.
LOW START will be 200m from the main arena with 5m climb.
Finishes
There will be two finish areas coinciding with the two starts.
High Finish 600m & 150m descent. Low Finish 200m & 5m descent.
No dogs at the finish areas please.
High start 1.6km and 130m climb is for courses 1-12
Low Start 200m and 5m climb is for courses 13-18
White will be be directly next to the Arena.
